Overview:
• On August 31, the Cincinnati Reds will host HBCU Day at Great American Ball Park, celebrating historically Black colleges and universities.
• The event includes a pregame mixer, panel discussions featuring alumni, live performances, and a post-game concert by Shaquille O'Neal.
• A portion of ticket sales will support local HBCU chapters, creating a vibrant celebration of education and culture tied to the baseball community.

CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Reds are hosting a special event on Saturday, Aug. 31 to celebrate historically Black colleges and universities.
The first HBCU Day at Great American Ball Park will feature many events and activations before and during the Reds vs. Brewers game at 7:15 p.m.
Fan Zone Pregame Mixer and Panel Discussion – 2:15 to 5:15 p.m.
- Fans can mix and mingle with HBCU and Greek Letter Organizations, information tables, local black-owned and HBCU alumni-owned vendors, live HBCU-inspired majorette performances and DJ Prymtime.
- Panel discussions will feature player alumni and HBCU alumni in media and education to discuss the significance of HBCUs as they relate to baseball and business.
Music in the Fan Zone featuring DJ Prymtime – 5:45 pm
Pregame ceremonies – 6:30 p.m.
- First Pitch – a representative from Central State University
- Honorary Captain – representative Kentucky State University
- National Anthem – representative Jackson State University
- Lift Every Voice and Sing – performed by Kameron Corvet, Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter, Walnut Hills graduate and Morehouse alumnus
Cincinnati Reds vs. Milwaukee Brewers – 7:15 pm
- Winners of the stroll competition will be featured during in-game promotions
Post-Game Concert: Diesel aka Shaq
- As part of the Ohio Lottery Reds Post-Game Concert Series, DIESEL aka SHAQ will be performing a live concert from the field. Everyone with a ticket to the Reds game can enjoy the free show and a special tribute to HBCUs.
- A postgame tribute video will highlight notable alumni from many career specialties including player alumni, medicine, education, legal, aerospace, media and more,

A portion of each ticket sold will be donated to the opted-in local HBCU alumni chapters and the Cincinnati Chapter of Black Sports Professionals.
